SCC: Battle of the Project Cars

The July 05 issue of Sport Compact Car tries to find the fastest project car. Here's the list of vehicles:

Project 300ZX TT (1992)
Project Rally Beater
Project TSX (2004)
Project Miata Gen 1 (1995)
Project Scion TC (2004)
Project Sentra SE-R (1991)
Project STi (2004)
Project SRT-4 (2003)
Project Silvia (1989 Nissan 240SX)
Stock Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR (2005)

During the actual test run on the track, conditions were wet and so the stock Evo 8 MR came in first and was signficantly faster than the 2nd placed car. Remember this is the USDM model which doesn't have Super AYC.

The STI came in 4th.
