I get kicked off MSN whenever my Windows laptop comes online, because "I've signed in from another location". Problem is that "Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts" option has already been unchecked on my Windows laptop! Even "Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background" is unchecked! So what the fuck is going on? Anyone know how to fix this, please post in the comments.Just the other day, I wasted two hours trying to hook up the HP laptop to a HP print server connected to a HP Laserjet 3030. Had to download the stupid device driver and everything. And when I set up my iBook to do the same it works on the first try, in all of two minutes. A 120:1 ratio in time savings!
My advice for people just getting into computers: Buy a Mac unless you consider troubleshooting PCs to be an enriching experience and you're feeling particularly masochistic.

It's comfortable to be one of the sheep. It's comfortable to remain in the fold. Till today, I still wonder why people will defend with teeth and claw WinBlow's mythical superiority over OS X when they are not part of the group reaping the benefits of Microsoft's shitty software. I mean, if you are a company that specializes in tech support for clueless WindBloz users who had their machines infected with spyware, adware and viruses for the 10,000th time because they have been surfing porn on Saturday nights in the style of "me, myself, lefty, and righty," I would understand--but if you are just a regular user? Damn! In this case, I think Gates, Balmer and Allen have achieved a scale of brainwashing magnitudes beyond what Kim Jung Il only dreamt of. It must be comfortable getting shafted. ;-)
